Hi,
I made a scenario for the 2014 Rhode Island Gubernatorial Election.
I don’t actually live in Rhode Island (I live in Virginia), so feel free to give any comments or suggestions if you have any.
Enjoy!

This is a scenario based on what might occur in the next election in Maine. The turnout numbers for each party are based on the voter count in the last election.
Republican Leaders:
Susan Collins: Senator from Maine
Michael Thibodeau: President of the Maine State Senate
Mary Mayhew: Commissioner of Maine Human and Health Services Department
Democratic Leaders:
Mark Eves: Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives
Janet Mills: Attorney General of Maine
Michael Michaud: Former U.S. Representative and 2014 Democratic Candidate
Libertarian Leaders:
Jim Bouchard: 2016 Libertarian Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives
Chris Lyons: Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Maine.
I might update this but we will see!

After winning the 2016 election by a landslide, conservatives everywhere are upset about the first 8 months of the progressive and liberal Hillary Clinton presidency. With a democrat-controlled congress, President Clinton has passed legislation that has infuriated the right-wing. In only a matter of months, she has managed to pass legislation that effectively abolishes the death penalty, contains strict gun control measures (such as completely outlawing the carrying of guns in public and owning a gun larger than a pistol), requires every police officer in the country to wear a body camera, raised the federal minimum wage to $12 per hour and tying it to an inflation index, while also greatly decreasing debt for college students. She has also allowed much more than the previously proposed 10,000 Syrian refugees into the country, cut back on deportations and border control, and restored the right to vote to thousands of convicted felons. As a result of these drastic measures, conservatives, especially southerners, have declared much of this legislation “unconstitutional”, with Texas Governor Greg Abbott calling Clinton a “dictator”. Shortly after this, Tea Party members in Texas drew up plans to secede from the United States. After Texas declared its independence, President Clinton responded by surprisingly allowing Texas to secede (believing that they wouldn’t be able to survive on their own), but threatening to start a second civil war if any other states join in the Secession. After a few months of Greg Abbott serving as the acting President, Texas lawmakers have determined that they will elect their 1st President in November of 2018. Most of the Constitution is similar to the original U.S. Constitution, with the only major difference being that they will use a unicameral legislature with just 1 Senator from each territory in an attempt to give more power to the states. There are 3 major parties: the Tea Party, the Republicans, and the Progressives, with Ted Cruz of the Tea Party the favorite to become President.
After you’ve played the scenario, please vote on this poll http://www.270soft.ipbhost.com/index.php?/topic/13152-texas-secession-scenario-poll/
UPDATE 10-29-17: Fixed minor parties which were still using primaries
I disabled primaries. I tried fixing them using a popular primary vote but kept getting crashes, even when going back to an electoral system. Sorry, hopefully the bug-handling improves in later versions
UPDATE 10-22-17:
UPDATE 6-11-17:
After a decade of high growth in the Peruvian economy, a majority of voters claim they don’t feel the country is making any progress. Most of the growth comes from the boom in the mining sector, policies favoring foreign investment, but poverty remains rampant. The next president will face high poverty, insecurity and corruption, at the same time the coverage of basic necessities remains painfully short. Environmental groups and indigenous communities remain opposed to the current mining policies, which has and continues to be the engine of the Peruvian growth. The next president will have to diversify the country’s economy.
Keiko Fujimori, daughter of the Former President of Peru, Alberto Fujimori, both from Japanese descent, is now attempting to win the race for the presidency for a second time. In her first attempt in 2011, she felt short with 48,5% of the vote. After the election she begun the campaign for 2016, establishing a political party, with grassroots all over the country and traveling more than any other candidate in history. Her work payed off and after winning the first round of the 2016 presidential election with 40%, doubling the candidate in second place, she is closer to become the first female president of Peru. Althought her candidacy inspires and rallies millions of people who remember her father’s accomplishments, millions of others march against the possibility of the return of, what they claim, was Fujimori’s authoritarian rule. While President Fujimori remains in jail with widely known health problems, a majority of Peruvians according to all polls, favor in a large margin a presidential pardon. With incumbent president Humala favorability in the low 20%, Keiko feels vindicated and that her time has come.
Pedro Pablo Kuczynski former Minister of the Economy and successful business man, will face Keiko in the run off. Kuczynski a right-wing figure in Peru, master mind of the current economic model, that has benefited the high growth of the country widely praised around the world, faces critics at home who say he is for the rich and the large corporations. After not making it to the run off in 2011, became one of the most vocal supporters of Keiko in an attempt to defeat the then radical-left-wing candidate Humala. Surprisingly, the 78 year old, made it to the run off with barely 20% of the vote, well behind Fujimori’s 40%. He is well-perceived and supported by the well-educated and young people. Kuczynski has labeled himself as the candidate of the “ones who want democracy to remain” alluding to the authoritarian past of Keiko’s father, which makes the 2016 Peruvian presidential election one of the most polarized, contested and watched races in history.

UPDATE 11/9/16 So I’m not sure what I’ll wind up doing with this campaign. Last night was, for me, a pleasant surprise. I’m leaning at the moment with leaving the way it is, after all it is a fantasy scenario, and we have fictional Confederacy campaigns here, for Pete’s sake. Alternatively, I would re-do the campaign with Trump as the incumbent, remove the Alt-Right party, the GOP becomes the “New Republican Party”, separate from the “Conservative Party” and the Establishment party with Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell and their ilk. Let me think on this for a few days.
Hi all! This is my first published campaign. I’ve seen all the campaigns for the present and past, but I was playing around with some scenarios and decided what the heck, let’s take a gaze into the crystal ball. If Hillary Clinton got elected, we would, in my opinion be in for a very rough ride. It’s times like those that Americans finally take notice and reject Progressivism, much like they did when 1920 brought in conservative president Warren Harding, along with Prohibition (ok so it wasn’t all good). Please give me your feedback, I’ll be revising and making updates based on suggestions. It’s my first published campaign ever so please be nice 🙂
Despite Gary Johnson’s loss in 2016, a strong showing in the popular vote has led to a nationwide rise in the Libertarian movement. Many conservatives and former Republicans are now flocking to the Libertarian cause.
Hillary Clinton has had a disastrous four years and now more than ever Americans have woken up and demanded change.
There is now about a 20% nationwide following for the Libertarian Party.
Addition of the following Libertarain candidates to 2016 runner up Austin Petersen:
Congressman Dr. Rand Paul
Former Governor Mitt Romney
Actor and Comedians Drew Carey & Penn Jilette
News host Alex Jones
However the Bernie movement will not die quietly either. There are equal calls from the left to bring down the Clinton machine too. The former Green Party and Socialist movement have combined to form the new Globalist Party. Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein are among the foremost candidates for this party that advocates sweeping global change, a new world order, and a global borderless society.
Among all this, the GOP is desperately trying to re-invent itself and becoming a true Constitutional Conservative party. Texas’s own Ted Cruz and Greg Abbott are front-runners, but conservatives like Tom Cotton, Ben Sasse, and even Trey Gowdy are throwing their hats in too, as many moderate or socially-liberal Republicans have fled to the Democrat or Libertarian parties.
The issues of “Social Justice” and “Government Accountability” have been added.
