The 1940 Alberta general election is due to be held on March 21, 1940, to elect members of the 9th Legislative Assembly of Alberta. 1935 – Alberta

The 1935 Alberta general election is due to be held on August 22, 1935, to elect members of the 8th Legislative Assembly of Alberta. The newly founded Social Credit Party of Alberta are hoping to unseat the 14-year government of the United Farmers of Alberta. Can they upset the odds or will the UFA return to power in Edmonton?

1930 – Alberta

The 1930 Alberta general election is due to be held on June 19, 1930, to elect members of the 7th Legislative Assembly of Alberta. The United Farmers of Alberta government first elected in 1921 and again in 1926 is hoping for a third term. John E. Brownlee remains as premier leading the party into his second election as leader. Can he lead the UFA to a third election victory or could the Liberals return to power in Edmonton?

The 1926 Alberta general election is due to be held on June 28, 1926, to elect members of the 6th Legislative Assembly of Alberta. The United Farmers of Alberta government first elected in 1921 is hoping for re-election. Last year Herbert Greenfield resigned as UFA leader and premier being replaced by John E. Brownlee. Can he lead the UFA to a second election victory or will the Liberals return to power in Edmonton?

As STV isn’t available, the system for Calgary and Edmonton has been replaced by the Instant Runoff system used for the remainder of the province but modified to artificially create competitive contests.

The Liberals have been in power for 15 years and seek their 5th consecutive electoral win under Premier Charles Stewart. The Conservatives were able to mount their strongest challenge so far at the last election in 1917. A new party, the UFA, makes it’s first provincial election appearance. The labour movement remains split, but a number of ‘Labour’ candidates are running to make it an effective 4th force.

The platforms for Independent Labour, the Indepedent Liberal and the Socialist Party were compiled by locating sources through ChatGPT.

The incumbent Liberal Party led by Premier Arthur Sifton are aiming for a fourth consecutive majority government. The Conservative Party led by Edward Michener are hoping to defeat the Liberals at the second attempt. Who will emerge victorious on election night.

The incumbent Liberal Party led by Premier Arthur Sifton are aiming for a third consecutive majority government. The Conservative Party led by Edward Michener are hoping to defeat the Liberals by capitalizing on the A&GW scandal that led to Premier Rutherford’s resignation. Who will emerge victorious on election night.

The 1909 Alberta general election will be the second general election held in the Province of Alberta. Taking place on March 22, 1909, to elect 41 members to the 2nd Alberta Legislature. The incumbent Liberal Party led by Premier Alexander C. Rutherford are aiming for a second majority government. The Conservative Party led by Albert Robertson appears to have a tough task ahead to emerge victorious on election night.

Alexander Cameron Rutherford, appointed first Premier of Alberta, has called an election for November 9, 1905, and stacked the deck by making Edmonton the capital city and weighing Liberal strongholds with more seats. Can Richard Bennett’s Conservatives manage to knock out the Liberals regardless?

2023 – Alberta

The 2023 Alberta general election is due to be held on May 29, 2023. Voters are electing the members of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. The United Conservative Party under Danielle Smith, the incumbent Premier of Alberta was behind in the polls. As the election draws closer, the race is tightening up. Can the UCP win re-election or will Rachel Notley’s NDP be given another chance in government.
