After five turbulent years in power, the Labour government must face a discontented electorate in 2029., and the election could be one of the most unpredictable in the nation’s history. The rise of Reform and the Greens threatens to eclipse the traditional Labour-Conservative divide, while the Liberal Democrats and regionalist parties eye opportunities for gains of their own. With the first-past-the-post system setting the stage for narrow upsets, any number of outcomes may be possible.
(I will try to do occasional updates as the election gets closer. For now, this mostly just has the 2024 candidates, without the Workers’ Party but with Your Party added.)
